NATU is a Beautiful film which deals with the Love & affection of the Grandmother towards her grandson. The story of the film is basically from the rural part of Maharashtra. All the plots take place in a very small village in Satara district of Maharashtra where the family orientation & complexities are portrayed thoroughly. The screenplay of the film does justice to the concept of realism adding intense depiction of the characters in rural places & their daily livelihood. The film touches several social issues in rural Maharashtra as well as representation of social issues in rural India. The problems of women are highlighted majorly while the family structure & arrangements are in focus in main plots.
The film revolves around the lead character Jana. She has a family of three including her husband & the only son Dilip. Dilip is married to Sunanda but after their marriage the mother-in-law Jana kicks her out of the house with the suspicion of extra marital affair. Since then she leaves with her brother Shankar. But father-in-law & Dilip are against her decision but keep quiet as Jana is a dominating member of the family. Things take a drastic turn as Sunanda gives birth to a baby boy. Once Jana comes to know about it her heart melts to see her grandson but as she is suspicious about Sunanda she controls her feelings. Later she craves to see her grandson & decides to bring Sunanda & grandson back to home but Sunanda being a sufferer for 8 years refuses to go back. The film follows the heartfelt journey of a grandmother to see her grandson & bring him back to home.
The film is full of natural performances of Artists that will give the audience the experience of realism. The locations & setup of the film is a true journey of rural Maharashtra. Altogether the film is packed with a beautiful Story, Screenplay, Direction. It also gives the beautiful experience of Cinematography & smooth flow of Editing.
